How big is big ?

Mississippi River puts out some dandy walleyes…
But what we don’t talk alot about is the male walleyes…

What is your biggest male walleye ?
This season I pulled a very healthy 24″ male

Yeah that’s big! Nice fish i bet he smoked that crank bait into orbit

I have seen male walleye in the 5 to 6 lbs category at one lake. Full of fat, excellent body condition. Males that large are rare.

Buffalo Fishhead

I got one a hair over 26″ 20 years ago on the lake we had our cabin on. I ran into a game warden just after catching it and was sure it was a male so I had him confirm. The gills were turning brown and he said it was a VERY old male, one of the biggest he had ever seen and he nets the Pine River for milting each spring.

I’ve ran into quite a few males in the 22-26 inch range near the
longville area lakes.

We’ve caught some males in the 26″ range for the hatchery….those are prime fish for the hatchery work.

25 incher last Tuesday out of pool 2 for me.

Walleyes? Who cares? Crappies the begining of big is 12″ Bass 18” both get a little ugly

Biggest I have caught in p2 was 26 inches..

I just put a fullback of a male 25″ long on the boat yesterday! !
