I am looking to get my house resided. Is there free software out there where a guy can put pictures of his house in, then change the siding on the house in the picture? So I can see what it looks like?

I’m a fan of Hardi board (cement board) siding. It shouldn’t ever need to be painted.

Hardiboard is the way to go.

Mastic.com has on their site where you can pick a house that looks similar to yours and change colors and siding option on it. Or for $15 you send in a picture of your house and they create a file and send back to you where you can change colors and siding options.

I prefer the newer generation of lp smartside to hardi, just my opinion.

Hardi (fiber cement)is a terrible product, smart side much better.
If you think hardi doesn’t ever need painting, think again

If you compare pros and cons of Hardi and LP side by side you would never buy Hardi. They are both about the same cost but the LP has about 10 advantages that Hardi cannot compete with.

I am in the industry and would never sell anyone Hardi over Lp and would never install Hardi if LP was an option.

Can you share your experiences with both? Not trying to be a smarta$$, just want to know why you say that. I’ve always thought they were both pretty similar.
