I’m heading up to Horseshoe chain this weekend to do some Bass fishing. Does anyone have any recent Info. that they care to share. Since the wife is tagging along I’d rather spend more time fishing and less time running around. Not looking for anyones hot spot – Just some Info on some areas and techniques to try. Thanks in advance for any and all responses. If you would rather send a PM that would be fine as well.

Go to a different lake, that lake can be insanely tough in August.

Last time I fished it in August I caught alot of my fish with Rats on the abundant weed mats. Most were caught on the deeper weed points. Buzzbaits real early. Its tough! Let me know how ya do.

Frogs in the slop was one of the things I was planning on trying. Any part of the lake better than another?

I did the best on the north section.

while it is a tough bite late July and August, Becker lake is your best bet right now, use a scum frog in the slop or jig & pork in the taller weeds..

Areas along HWY 22 on Horseshoe, lake, on the south end, produces some bass. Also, if you trailer over to Browns, head out of the access to the north west corner…throw white tubes, in the weeds…good LM action
