The SRCL seemed to be a week behind schedule this year based on water clarity and fish spawn patterns. The Walleye bite continues to be steady in the 8-14 foot range with the larger Females starting to bite more after their spawning binge. They should start hitting shadraps trolled in the typical spots soon if not now. Largemouth Bass & Northern Pike are very active hitting spinnerbaits in less than 10 feet of water along shoreline cover. I spotted several Smallmouths spawning still, so hopefully the larger females start hitting lures again soon (I’ve only been catching small males the past week)
Remember to practice catch & release on the SRCL!
