Appreciate some feedback on Mid-September fishing for Crappies on the Horshshoe Chain of Lakes area. Also names of any resorts that offer daily cabin rates. I am wanting to do some fall pan fishing and considering this area.

Mid September on the Horseshoe Chain can be boom or bust just like any other lake. The fish could be in a summer pattern which usually has them suspended off the weed edges during the day and then on the weed edge in the AM & PM.

With a fall pattern in place you will find those fish suspended over deep water. Both can be excellent fishing if the weather allows. Calm fall days offer you the best chance at cashing in on some of those fall Slabs.

You can call the Richmond Civic & Commerce to get an area booklet with all the resort information. (320) 597-5300

Thanks Scott for taking the time to send a reply to the fall crappie fishing report. I am going to contact the Richmond Civic & Commerce and make arrangements. I will be watching for further info and thanks again.

The fishing remains good on the Chain and the summer patterns are in full swing. The water is in suprisingly good shape this year, mostly due to the timely rains we have been having. I will get an updated report up by the end of the week hopefully.
