What’s the ice like on the Chain? almost off?

I might not get up there for another week yet, what’s the ice conditions like? When do you think we’ll have open water?

The River is open in most spots. The ice on the lakes is going fast but will be around for a couple weeks yet. Certainly not fishable ice but will be around for a while.

Ice is off the main lakes, all that’s left of the ice is the stuff that blew into the bays. Lakes look to be up about two feet from last fall, but it’s early spring. It was still friggin cold this morning!

With any luck….The level will stay there!
