Hello, my name is Jeremy Ludin and I am from Port Byron Illinios. I happened to stumble upon this site after I Googled “Horseshoe Chain of Lakes”. This seems to be a very informative forum and I am happy to be here!

My family and I vacation to Richmond every year. It is one of the very few things I have to look forward to in mid-summer. We stay in a cabin at Ruegemer’s Island View Resort and it is just absolutely beautiful. Minnesota is definitely God’s country, to say the least. We leave this Saturday for a week and I absolutely cannot wait.

Anyway, just wanted to take a little time and say hi. Sorry this wansn’t a very exciting post, but I’ll be around quite often!

The people on here are great. They have given me a lot of useful information and very rarely steer me wrong.

Thanks for the welcome! I have joined many sites, but they all seem to lack the information that I ask for and need.

In my very short time here, I have read MANY helpful hints and tips! Once again, very glad to be here!

Welcome to IDA Jeremy- Most of your pictures you posted from last year I recognize the areas.
check that crappie spot only a bit deeper and farther up the bend.

That is a very good crappie hole. I will have to do that!

I will definitely put more pics up this year. I got my dSLR camera this Feb., so hopefully I can get some amazing sunset pics. Thanks to everyone again!

Welcome, I fish the chain alot. This time of year gets hard for me due to water clarity and boat traffic. There are loose schools of crappies on the move in the river channels and cats can be had at the edges of drop offs. Cats are prefering dead bait.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll remember that.

We usually hit Koronis Bay for our crappie (I have a few “secret” spots) and Cedar for cats. Three days including today and counting!
