Every year my wifes family spend a week @ Riverside Resort. We always catch pleanty of cats, but one thing we never catch are smallies. I see people posting here that they catch smallies on the lake, but we never have. any advice for this week and spots we can try would be greatly appreciated! strictly catch and release! 
Stick to Horseshoe lake for Smallies, focus on points and look for rocks and the cleanest water possible. Please practice catch & release on all Smallies caught, they are just too much fun to keep.
I caught several last weekend using a spinnerbait
I have had luck in the VERY back of Horseshoe Lake. There is a huge boulder that has the words “Suzy’s Rock” spray painted on it. It is near the entrance to Long Lake, before the no wake zone. I have pulled many smallies out with a bobber and a leech. Hope that helps!
