Finally gettting back on the water this weekend, has the fall Walleye bite started yet? These cold temps gotta be pushing the big gals up shallow soon..

Not getting big fish yet, but have seen a definite movement shallow 10′ or less here with 4′-7′ the most productive. We have been picking significant numbers of smaller fish and increasing number of crappies right in with them. Bigger fish are likely there just haven’t got it done lately.

Sounds good, I plan on hitting all of my spots hard on saturday to try and figure out the timing of the bite. I suspect we’re still a little early, but this weekend’s cold temps might trick a few into biting…I’ll report back Sunday

The “best” fall bite occurs when Pepin drops below 50 degrees water temp…late Oct-Nov-Dec

Fishing was iffy for me this weekend, found bass in the shallows but Walleyes were nowhere to be found yet….I’m guessing the coldfront locked most jaws, but will finally move them up shallow from now on..
