Saw 2 pictures in the resort caught late last month. 27 and 26″, 7 something and just under 7lbs. It was a father and son, caught 2 days in a row in Becker.

Buddy caught a 40 in Northern WI back in June. He got a 26 about 10 minutes earlier.

Wow, they’ve migrated back to Becker already…I beleive the DNR released them in Horseshoe and Ceder Island lakes last fall…Maybe they like the clearer water in Becker? will make followups more exciting!

I was told last summer they had an emergency in one of the hatcheries and had to dump 150 20″ers in the chain. (they were already in there when I was there last July, resort had 2 pictures brought back already) I heard they dumped them in at the 22 access in richmond. They probably rounded the corner and went right into becker.

Then I was told they stocked 20″ers last fall in horseshoe (hw22 access in richmond) and in cedar island.

I read in a MN fishing newspaper thing that they stocked “yearlings” this spring in both horsehoe and cedar island. What would a yearling be, 10″ or so?)
