Wondering if anyone has fished out of horseshoe bay lodge on leech. Is there any decent walleye fishing within walking distance? Or any advice fishing walleye on that part of leech would be greatly appreciated. Never fished it before and feel like I would spend the whole day just looking around with camera/ flasher. thanks

Steamboat Bay on the whole is not one of the more well known walleye spots on Leech, but it can be a good early season spot. Not sure about winter. WOuld think possibly early ice? I’ve seen walleyes caught right in Horseshoe’s harbor open water season too. Might be worth a look? Crappies there too.

If you can get out to the first break lots of good structure with some of the deepest water of the lake right in that section.

My ice time on leech is limited, but I’ve had success on spots that have blobs of bait coming and going. Setup and hope for the eyes to come in. Sunset/sunrise are crucial times to be setup IMO
