    Anyone out there make their own ice fishing jigs/bugs? Here is my first go at it…..gold bead and some red glitter )

    I have used my trout nymphs rigged Drop shot style and have had good success. I have tied hares ears, pheasant tail scuds and stone flies. The stone flies in dark brown will sometimes drive perch and walleye wild as it mimics the Hex nymph they are feeding on all winter.

    I enjoy making my own jigs. I get a rush catching fish on my homemade jigs. Beside if you are the only one catching fish in a group of guys it makes me a happy camper and it has worked many times.

    im having fun with it as well, i do get weird looks buying all this nail polish though P
