Home made bait tank minnows and leaches

I converted a freezer into a bait tank; it has a inkbird temp probe and a pond pump with a filter system. The lid is insulated and it has an 24/7 natural light LED light bar from Amazon for aquariums.

Has anyone had experience with keeping minnows/leaches alive for long periods of time?

    How is it done!

    Thanks in advance!

    Is your system not working?

Water supply will play a role. City supplied water has treatment chemicals in it. Well water does not.

I think there was some mention of keeping minnows alive in another thread recently. I don’t remember which one…

If you don’t have well water, get one or two camping filters to help take the chlorine out. Get a couple goldfish too. They create good bacteria and level out the ph levels. More than anything make sure you have plenty of aeration.
