I would say a good 2 inches here just west of Mpls. It was all melting right away at first earlier but its sticking good now. Its the really heavy wet crap too
October 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm #1981007Whats your temperature forecast? Is suppose to stick or melt?
35/36 for a high for the next week+, so we may be looking at this for a while.
October 20, 2020 at 2:14 pm #1981011we gotta have 3 inches here in stearns county already. the weather terrorists on the #4 last night said the system coming in on thursday would be rain and most likely rid this snow, but……….. you know the weather people.
October 20, 2020 at 2:21 pm #1981020I just tried to drive to the store in Woodbury and aborted. Shockingly slippery. Accidents everywhere. Hard to even make a turn or stop.
October 20, 2020 at 2:21 pm #1981021Ugh. This is going to slow progress on our retaining wall and patio project.

I did it for fun, IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE and it wasn’t fun….
October 20, 2020 at 2:41 pm #1981029I like cold and snow………. but NOT in October. Kinda depressed actually.
October 20, 2020 at 2:41 pm #1981030I think the silver lining here is we are done with raking/blowing leaves for the year right!?!?!?
October 20, 2020 at 2:47 pm #1981031Maybe this will convince the tuna boats to go away for the season. (no offense, BK)

October 20, 2020 at 2:57 pm #1981034The last thing I’m doing is shoveling, plowing, or blowing this stuff. Temps later this week in my area will melt it as long as you don’t pile it up. I have to look at or move piles of snow enough during the year…I don’t want to preserve the snow in Mid October.
October 20, 2020 at 3:54 pm #1981052Just got home from the dentist. What should have been a 20 minute drive was a 40 minute adventure. A solid 6″ of snow on the patio table in Farmington.

Well I know I am, lawnmower went on the shelf today. Doesn’t bother me one bit but I do get a laugh of all the moron drivers in the first snow.
October 20, 2020 at 4:26 pm #1981060about to log off of work and head outside with the little one to play in the snow. Love this time of year!
P.S. although i wouldn’t mind if the snow didn’t come for another 3 weeks
October 20, 2020 at 4:50 pm #1981063I was going to let it melt but deep enough I decided to shovel. About 5 inches of brutaly heavy snow, so far! Definitely heart attack snow. The one time I need my blower and it’s still in storage 120 miles away!
Tom SawvellInactivePosts: 9559October 20, 2020 at 4:57 pm #1981065On paved surfaces here we maybe have 1/2″. Its been relatively light here and the current radar is showing maybe another hour or so of the white plague. I think the weather man said last night that Thursday is supposed to be 50 some odd degrees here so what’s down can stay. No shovel in my hands.
October 20, 2020 at 5:09 pm #1981070I was just out cleaning up snow. It’s currently light flurries, sleet and I swear a felt must/ rain.
October 20, 2020 at 5:23 pm #1981077They are forecasting 5″ – 8″ here by Thursday night. We will see.

I’m down visiting my daughter and family in Coon Rapids and there’s easily 6″+ out there now.
Forecast for daytime highs in the mid 30’s with some rain Thursday should subtract rather than add to the snow totals…I hope.
October 20, 2020 at 6:43 pm #1981092Probably should’ve got this put away. This snow definitely caught me with my pants down when it comes to fall cleanup.
