I guide for Fishing Has No Boundaries on Holcombe every year. This year my usual partner didn’t
show up so I did the job of sector patrol, though I admit I did more fishing than patrolling.
Did really well on the crappies in 10 to 12 FOW. I vertical jig two rods and slowly move around til
I see signs of life on the sonar. Out of the way places like Pine Lake were best but I happened to
fish a 12 ft flat in front of East Bay and (smaller) fish were scattered all over that.

THanks for the report. My parents own a house there so I go and visit them often. We have found nice crappies by where the jump comes in. We catch a little of everything in that area. We also habve found nice fish near the cribs at lions park. Most of the fish have come off of slip bobbers with half of night crawlers or we’ll cast light jigs with night crawlers or leeches and slowly retrieve them. Do you fish walleyes at all on this lake? We have only been able to find small ones. I am amazed at the average size of the crappies we have caught.
