New baits from Berkeley looked interesting enough to pick up. Not sure how I feel about the big silver plates on bottom but they should cast further which will benefit us shore guys.

Next to the bait it’ll be contending with, hard to beat IMO the husky.

Will let the fish decide toast

3 hooks > 2 hooks imo. I don’t have any experience with the hit stick. Please report back after some use.

I as well will be interested to see what your Verdict is on this bait. ZThe finish looks decent on it and the added hook is a plus. Like you said it would be hard to beat a Husky Jerk – But who knows .

The Next Bite guys were using these last fall and looked to be cleaning up at night with them.

    Beads,

I think they just were released to the public not too long ago. I happened across them a few weeks ago and haven’t gotten a chance to try them yet but sure will this fall and winter. If I were to guess it would be like a flicker shad, a cheaper version of a Rapala that I dot mind loosing…

Looks like a nice bait. Hopefully you will still find them in your tackle box when you come home from Leech. shock What are the specs?

Here’s Berkley’s promo video. I’ve become pretty frustrated with Rapala balsa baits getting the tail end mangled by pike. These are all plastic and should be more durable.

No verdict yet. Been in a boat not from shore lately and hard to give up the huskys.

Will give em a go this weekend on leech. Next couple weeks from shore should give a good opinion of em

Used them at night recently when nothing else would get the fish to go, the hitsticks came through and got us the fish again.

    Impressed with this bait!

Berkley always comes up with a hot lure every few years. Looks very promising. I wonder if the smallest one only has one belly hook.

It appears the smallest size (1 3/8 inches) has only one treble hook and the three larger sizes (6, 5 1/9, and 4 inches) have three treble hooks, while the three middle sizes (3 1/2, 2 3/4 and 2 inches) have two treble hooks.

Original raps, husky jerks and flicker shads still catch lots of fish grin

Didn’t try em as much as I wanted to, but then again when you have your confidence baits, they will always get tied on first, and when they are doing the job no reason to switch.

    Anxious for next season!
