Hi Guys. Found a big worm in the mouth cavity of a huge pike. I couldn’t find it on internet, searched several hours. Anybody knows what is it and if it’s infesting humans? Thanks a lot.

PS: It’s not an acorn worm, found in Montreal Canada, and it’s 4-5 inches long

Probably some nasty adult tape worm. Thats why you have to freeze pike before you pickle them.

Tape worms are segmented. It doesn’t appear to have segments(?)

    Is it round?

Possibly a type of Lamprey. Looks like it has a sucker in one pictures, but its not on the end of the body which is strange. Either way a ugly looking thing !!!

Some sort of bloodsucker or maybe even a small Lamprey Eel depending on the body of water whereyou found it.
