Nice! Been cutting my own for 30 years with a clipper for $25.

Since on furlough, I told the FW I am growing it out to either a manbun or skullett…..her choice.

Her response…..”enjoy the divorce”…..jokes on her!

I need a haircut very badly. Broke down on Friday and looked for a clipper set at some retail stores…completely wiped out. Check on eBay and had to win a bidding war for triple the cost.

Ha! That’s awesome! 😅 I used to cut Billy’s hair regularly with the clippers, and about once a year near Christmas he’d actially go in to Great Clips and get a nice haircut for me. Over the years I got to be pretty good with the clippers. I wish I could help and offer hair cutting but I wouldnt want to cut up my umbrellas. rotflol

    I have to ask, what’s a skullett??

I’ve been doing my own for about 20 years now. I have been growing a quarantine ‘stache, which the FW would like to see gone. In actually getting used to it. rotflol

Haven’t been to a barber in probably 10 years. Every two weeks I take the shortest guard on the electric clippers and do it myself. The wife will occasionally do the trimming.

couldn’t take it anymore, got a buzz in the garage at happy hour by someone who had never cut hair, just like 1968 marine corps bootcamp. Only difference between a bad haircut and a good one is 2 weeks

I just cut mine with a scissors after 65 days. I just tried to take about 1/2″ off evenly all around. Not bad, but took over an hour. I had a 50 day quarantine beard too but that just came off.

I’ve had a high & tight/fade since basic training in 2003 so it wasn’t much to just buzz the whole deal, I’ve done that twice since hair cutting places closed. I’m not saying I look pretty but saving $20-$25 every other week and doing it myself has been kind of nice.

Some women prefer a buzz-cut ‘do on a guy! It looks clean and low-maintenance – suggesting the guy is a no-nonsense guys’ guy kinda guy. That’s easier to say out loud than to type LOL.

On a related note, I’m standing at my kitchen sink yesterday morning I kid you not – my 80-something year old neighbor steps out onto his deck to spray hairspray in his coiffed hair… Granted he’s got a lot of hair for an 80 year old but it’s just too much. The song lyrics “You’re so vain” popped into my head as I saw him. Too much style and product and it looks like it would be crunchy.

I’m growing the beard until this is over, and depending how long that takes may switch careers to a ZZ Top cover band. rotflol

Threatening the wife I’m going to be that guy. No not the skullet but the gray ponytail. Said I had one in college and again in early 30s, would love to do it again. Should I worry it looks like divorce lawyer business cards on the counter? jester

That link I attempted to post is of fellow Minnesotan Seth Feider who has one of the most majestic mulletts on earth.

I learned how to embedd photos from google photos this year but does anyone know how to do it from a simple google image search? I know how to download it to my PC, then post but there should be a way to do it quicker…..maybe I need to be more patient……

I tried a couple different ways and same results, then my edit freezes????

I’ve never been able to figure out how to post photos here unless they’re saved to my laptop/phone, and then I attached them using the “Browse…” button. I like how some people get photos to post right in their message but it must be magic or something. smirk

I think my ‘do still looks fine. It’s been a few months, but no need for a trim yet.

I had my 14yr old daughter give me a trim last week. Her first time ever trying it and she did pretty dang good! My wife chose to leave the house as she thought it might turn into a bloodbath argument between my daughter and I. lol

Oh, and when I say her first time, it doesn’t include the time when she tried cutting her own hair at 5yrs old. jester

My wife is a hair stylist. I have long hair to the middle of my back and a bushy beard. I love telling people I can’t find a hair stylist drives her nuts. Ah all is fair in love and war smirk
