I took some time and dug thru a pile of jig molds and found this one in the bass pile. It looked like a possible candidate so I trimmed down a half dozen blanks and poured them. No mold modification at all but I did have some simple flash to remove. No biggie on that.
I added the split rings and a pair of #6 trebles and headed down to some local water where I could fish these straight up and down to watch the action. Its something else. I think I am going to like this one for vertical jigging but the weight forward might make casting and retrieving a bit hairy. Vertical its an interesting action.
I did a simple airbrush finish on a couple today and will hang hooks tomorrow. If this pan out I will be on the water on Tuesday to play with them.
