Found a nice Hen of the Woods mushroom yesterday while heading to my squirrel hunting spot. I find them to be quite tasty and just wanted to let people know they are popping.

Hope so, they’re probably my favorite mushroom. Morels are good and so are oysters, but hen of the woods are just a notch above.
Its been a great year for mushroom picking in general. Chanterelles, lobsters, hen’s, chickens, black trumpets, oysters, and even a few clumps of bear tooth have all been on the menu at my house over the last month or so. Family and friends have been eating good as well!
