What brand of forceps does everyone use for ice fishing? I’ve tried some generic brands found at walmart and while they do the job, I would have to take off my gloves to use them and during colder temps, I hate using them. I am looking for one that will allow it to be used while still having gloves on? I hole hope majority of the time unless weather doesn’t cooperate. Can anyone steer me in a good direction with what they use that works well with their experience. Thanks guys

I’ve always used the baker “hook-out”. Works great with gloves or mittens. Comes in different sizes. Other brands make them too, Berkley I know is one. You can find them pretty much anywhere including walmart.

I’ve got a set of Berkley ones and a pair of regular ones but I can’t think of any that could fit a glove other than rubber ones. I know what you mean though and just pull my big gloves off.

I have never seen one with big enough rings to get a gloved finger into. I buy medical ones off of Ebay for cheap, I bought about 30 pair a few years ago for $20. Gave a bunch away as Christmas presents.
