I have a Lowrance Elite 7 hdi 83/200 unit I am looking to purchase another to stack. Will a Lowrance Hds-7 83-200 unit and transducer work with a elite 7 but it just wont show structure scan correct? what will I need to sync the units?
Yes, you will not get SS with the standard transducer. Now if you plan on running both transducers side by side on the frequency it will not work. 200 – 200 nope, 83 – 200 yes
You can only connect NMEA 2000 between the 2 units, you will be able to do limited waypoint sharing and thats it. The Elite 7 will have to be power up to accept a waypoint from the HDS unit.

You will need 2 transducers if plan on using both as sonars at the same time, you cannot share screens or transducers with that setup , only 2 HDS units can network 1 transducer
