On my last trip I accidently sat down on my reel and bent the handle ( Hey – No Fat jokes ). I was able to mostly bend it back into place , but its still a little off. Since its a new reel I thought I might as well just order a replacement handle. After a little online time I was finally able to find the part #. It is Daiwa part # Q38-3001. I figured I’d start direct with Daiwa. No luck. Not in stock and no idea when they will receive any. They directed me to a Dave’s Parts in Florida. Once again, No luck. They do not have the part and don’t know when they will get any. Only place I can find one is on Ebay for 29.99. That seems rather expensive for a handle for a reel that is only 99.00. I’m a little disappointed in Daiwa for not having something as simple as a reel handle in stock. Then again like most things these days, I’m sure they simply want you to throw it away and buy a new one. I may just fish it as is and look for a handle at a later date. It feels OK. Just a little off balance.

I don’t have any suggestions for finding the part, I’m just chiming in to say I’m glad I’m not the only one who does that kinda stuff!! I accidentally stepped on my buddy’s rod last weekend. It was the LOUDEST crunch sound and echoed over the water. I looked down hoping it was my rod – nope. I felt terrible! 😬🤦

May be worth a shot to see if it’s the same as the Scheels model. They may have a line on parts. Where did you buy it. Some good retailers have better line to repair parts than the average Joe.
