How do I create a post?
I choose new topic
I choose fishing
I make a titled add text
I hit submit reply where am I wrong?
Ive added many before
I can reply to others

Umy is trying to post a shout out,Ill see if I can add it.

Just had this guy fix my door. IDO will not let me post this?!

A number of you answered the call this past fall when my garage door broke.
The first two companies I called never called back.
The third one Apple Valley garage dooor Matt Whyte answered the call and took care of me. My door broke again yesterday ( Sunday – I think it’s cursed ) and I called him again and he showed up at the end of his day at 6:45 pm and saved me again.
Just a shout out to whoever knew him and sent him my way. Great guy, fast and honest. Hard to find these days!

I got no answers Denny . Gave up trying then Sheldon suggested no emoji and life was gooder!!

Usually creating an actual topic/post will work with emojis(tho I guess not always…), but replying to someone with a quote that has an emoji in it is a different story…

Glad you found a good guy, UMY. It’s hard to find one so good that they’ll go out of their way for you like that!

I want to ask who the companies were that DIDN’T get back to you, but I know that’s kind of a no-no. At least publicly. I’m curious because I was thinking about working for one of the local outfits.

Emojis from a keyboard don’t work on IDO and haven’t in a couple years. I miss them as the smilies here are limited. The “smilies” from the button on the right of where you type your post/reply still work though. Those aren’t “emojis” they are “smilies” and they’re different than the ones from your keyboard.

look at the “reply to help below the last post. Then check the menu at the top, far right.

By keyboard I mean on a phone or tablet where there is an option for emojis right from the keyboard. Those are the ones that don’t work on IDO. A traditional physical keyboard for use with a computer does technically have emojis too by way of using Alt codes but those don’t work here either.

The only option is the “smilies” button on the IDO screen just above the reply box. See the attached screenshot.
