Hello everyone I have enjoyed reading your posts for quite some time and I participate in the fishing forum discussions quite often but not so much on these hunting forums. It seems like most of you hunt for whitetails which I don’t have much of a chance to do so I am jealous. I did shoot a couple in Texas a few years ago though. Anyways I thought that I would stop by and say hello and share some pictures of my season so far here in Wyoming. Enjoy!

Looks like the freezer will be full this fall!

I’ll swap a whitetail for an elk hunt all day every day.

Took a cow on Carter Mt. outside of Cody several years ago…. Great country.

It is just nice to have something else to chase every once in a while. Just like fishing up hear I get kind of sick of seeing 10 lb lake trout all year but that is all I have.

Elk hunting the rut with a bow is by far my favorite kind of hunting! If you ever want to hunt this state again I can point you in the right direction.

Envious would be an understatement! Currently building preference points to draw in your neck of the woods in the coming years.

Looks like a great start to your season!

All of these were taken on public land. I think that the pictures turned out pretty good considering most of them I was there by myself. I have done a lot of hitting the timer and running back to the animal this year lol.

Where are you thinking about applying? What unit/region? How many points do you have? I can probably point you in the right direction when you draw. Feel free to PM me with any questions. I have lived in western Wyoming for most of my life so I know it pretty well.

If your offering up some advice, I am planning on taking my dad out for some pronghorn hunting. would be with a rifle. You got any suggestions you could private message me about where I might want to apply to. Thanks.

I’m pouting this fall. My son is going up on horseback week after Thanksgiving in WY…but they already have a camp cook.

We are most likely going to be applying for region C or Y, I have 2 points (hunting partner only has 1) more or less wanted to accumulate some points and apply to “theoretically” be guaranteed a tag depending on if I draw in other states. I have zero knowledge of your state, maybe I’ll bug ya when the time comes for just some general insight!

Well accumulating points is the first step so your on the right track. When it gets closer to the time of your actual hunt feel free to hit me up or if you just want to talk hunting lol

I do now that I am tagged out for the year. Playing guide for everyone is getting old since I have gotten two different people in place with perfect easy shots on elk only to have them miss doah . That and the waterfoul haven’t showed up yet I only got one Mallard last week. Now I have been converted to taxidermist boiling out my heads from this year lol.
