Long story short this is my grandfathers boat. He is going through the initial stages of Alzheimer’s and want to try to help him still get out and fish….but I really don’t know much/anything about boats:)

    The boat
*2007 Fishermen with a EPI 90 Mercury Outboard
*There are 3 locations for batteries
    1. back between the rear live wells…seems to be the main one for starting the motor and running the power?
2/3. These probably ran the trolling motor and maybe the fish finder? They are on either side under the dash (Driver and passenger)
***Hopefully one or both of these are standard since nothing is labeled. I tried getting the trolling motor to work but didn’t see to…maybe I am missing a switch?

    Problems….
***The other day it started beeping at me and went into “limp mode” – It has oil and the water pump seems to work (I am getting a pee stream when running.) I tested this 2 ways….one with muffs (My cousin pointed out that this could be pushing water in so then I used a garbage can filled with water)….Since I got it home it hasn’t beeped either but it definitely was having issues out on the lake!!
***The dash gauges light up but the fuel gauge and the speedometer don’t seem to work at all…..

The boat sat for 2 years but he used to take pretty good care of it. This is probably enough info to get people starting to ask questions:).

    Thanks:)

    cheers

you need to know the beep sequence as it is all code to trouble shooting . A series of long and short beeps in various sequences will indicate what the issue is . Once you establish the code you can google and proceed accordingly but sounds like you may heading to the dealer
