Helix9 g3n di wont show depth over 38 feet

    Never seen this before online but if i go deeper than 38 feet the graph wont show anything doesent matter if its in auto or manual depth it just drops right off the screen into white nothing…tried 2 transducers same thing it does it on the DI also anyone seen this? Worked fine the weekend before didnt change any settings wtf….

    No clue, maybe reset factory settings, reboot, and see if that helps???

    This is just a guess because I don’t have access to my Helix at the moment. It looks like your upper range is set to 2ft and lower range is set to 50ft. It could be that the max depth setting is set at 38ft for some reason. Click menu twice, scroll to sonar, and check what “max depth” is set to. Should be set to auto or a depth that is deeper than what you are fishing.

    Agree. Looks like the Max depth setting has been adjusted.

    Yea i changed it to 50 to see what it would do max depth setting didnt change anything neither did auto or manual depth and i also set my helix 7 in the front to the same settings and it reads just fine…..

    That happened to me over the week end with my helix 7. I did what Fishinfol said and fixed it

    Just to be clear, the “max depth” setting is independent of the upper and lower range settings.

    Max depth was at 38 lol ive ran birds as long as i can remember cant believe i missed this one😒 thanks u guys rock! Cant wait to get out to pool 4 or 2 this weekend Tight lines

    Just blame it on me. All those buttons and settings………. I have 2 Garmin 73sv on my boat, for a couple years and I still do not know how to use all the features. UGH.
