Helix question

I’ve used my Helix 7 G2 a couple of weekends now and I’m confused as to how it determines depth. The center readout states 23.3ft, but the line between 18.9 and 21.6 is actually the bottom. I confirmed that with an underwater camera.
    So two questions –
    1. How can I get the readout and the flasher to show the same bottom depth?
    2. Is it possible for the depth numbers to be round numbers (18-19-20) vs decimal numbers (18.9-21.6-24.3)?
    Thanks in advance

Silty bottom? or a steep break?

    1. The readouts should be the same. Try resetting defaults and see if that helps.
    2. Not sure on the exact answer to the decimal question, but first off, the owner’s manual will tell you all there is to know about those adjustments. Second, why would you prefer a rounded up or rounded down version of the depth over the actual precision depth?

Is your unit in auto depth? Try manually setting lower depth range, might help.

I’m in the market for a 5 G2. Been looking t around for a couple days. Things sure aren’t easy to find right now, if you want to take a look at them in person.
