Helix 9 G2n and LakeMasterPlus

    I have a new Helix p DI SI GPS G2N and it will not load the lake master plus maps. In the menu, the only option for maps is “auto”. There is no lake list and the contour lines do not appear on my chart.

    Try this.
    Reset your unit to defaults.
    Remove map card.
    Power down.
    Power up your unit and go into simulation mode.
    Insert map card.
    Do you have mapping?

    No gps signal required when in simulation.

    If that works, then you have GPS issues, or you need to pull out of the garage so it can get signal.

    If that doesn’t work in simulation, then you have issues only bird can resolve.

    This unit is on my shopping list so I’ll be anxious to see the resolution.

    Could be a bad map card. Can you check it in someone else’s unit?
