I have a helix 10 & 9 on my ranger and having trouble with the depth jumping up and down they will be reading 5 foot and go to 75 and even 2 or 3 hundred foot jumping all over the place I am new to the hummingbird units need some help figuring this out
When I was running Humminbird and had depth jump issues, it was always related to the break away bracket on the transducer. All I had to do was snap it back tight.
They dont seem to like shallow water. My helix 5si did that and never found the root of the problem before I sold the boat. Pay attention to the di or traditional sonar when shallow as it will show the true depth. Try to pay no attention to the readout only trust the screen images.
