Just got out on the ice and turned my H7 on and am getting “ transducer not connected” warnings.

Unplugged. Replugged. Powered on off. Etc. nothing fixing it.

On ice now. Anyone ever has his issue?

OK, got the transducer to be recognized, but it seems to be stuck in some combination between open water and ice fishing mode even though it says it’s an ice fishing mode. Can’t get my flasher we’ll or RTS window to show up.

    Quickly missing my FLX- 28

Anyone know of a way to do a hard reset or something while out on the ice?

Have you tried resetting the factory defaults? Did you update the software properly? Correct transducer and settings?

did you take the time to learn how to use it before going on the ice?

    Reset to factory defaults
go to settings and change to advanced mode
disable the views you dont wish to see
turn on ice mode if it is a g2, turn off if it is a g1
fish in normal chart view, its better than the circular flasher anyway

    Agreed.

Thanks everyone. I did try a factory default on the ice. That just reset all my settings. Didn’t help. Unplugging the transducer, powering off, powering back on, and everything also didn’t help.

Finally got it working after unplugging the transdcuer and blowing on the contact pins and as well as the back of the unit where it plugs in. Couldn’t see any moisture or condensation, but guessing there may have been because the next time I turned it on it recognized the transducer. So, has anyone ever bothered to put dielectric grease on these pins/connector?

And just to answer some of your questions, A) G2 on latest software and B) it worked fine the past 8 times out on the ice over the past two weeks. Just a total fluke it appears.

Just glad I got it working. My mind went to…what if this had happened on LOTW or something where I was out there for 3-5 days. Doing software updates to “correct” things or “reset” it isn’t an option in those cases.

when i use my old transducer, if you bump it sometimes it will go bye bye lol but that transducer connector is beat to heck. Yours being new, shouldn’t have any real issues with that. Yes you can put some dielectric on the contacts, its probably a good idea! I have beat the ever living snot out of my helix 5 gen 1 the last 4 years and it has never let me down. Glad you got it going!
