Helix 7 transducer lock down or not?

    It seems the helix 7 transducer bracket will pop up easily if I don’t lock it down. Are users locking it down with the screw? I just installed and havent tried it in the water yet. I understand why not to but it seems the plastic side tabs are not very snug.

    I messed with it a little and finally it snapped into place. I think it will be good.
