Helix 7 – transducer flips up at high speed

My helix 7(approximately 4 years old) – the transducer unsnaps from the plastic mount and flips up at high speed.
What is the best way to fix it? I’m assuming it flips up by design to help protect it from damage.

Raise it up. It’s got too much drag in the water. It should be just low enough that the face of the transducer is submerged while on plane.

Yep. Like munchy said. Also should be a single hole to add a screw right in the middle to keep it in place. If its like mine the actual mounting screws are behind the part flipping up and then the single hole on the outside.
