I’ve been told mounting Helix 7 or any other brand for that matter on a wheeler is ill advised due to vibration damaging the units??? Anybody have issues???

I’d be more worried about smashing it up.

They’re going to take way more pounding from waves while moving from spot to spot on a boat, than on any ATV or snowmobile during ice fishing use.

use a good RAM mount and you should be okay…

What kind of vibrations are you talking about? Unless you’re driving like a crazy man, the vibrations shouldn’t be any more than you might get hauling it in the truck or towing in sled behind atv. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I’ve got my Helix 7 mounted in the same spot on the handlebar. Had no issues and in reality the vibrations on the 4 wheeler are less than hitting waves on my boat. You actually have a suspension on the wheeler.
