Helix 7 left side imaging issue

Just installed a brand new Helix 7 SI GPS unit and put it out on the water today. The right side imaging is great. The left side and down imaging has a bunch of garbage or interference between 2.5 and 15 feet of the water column. I thought maybe it was the motor but I trimmed it all the way out of the water and no difference at all. What can cause these lines?

I had the same issue with an 899 that I owned. It was still under warranty, I contacted HB customer service, they had me send it in with the transducer. Two weeks later, a brand new Helix 9 G1 with my original transducer appeared on my door step. The packing slip said transducer checked good, head unit defective and replaced.

The only complaint was that I had to pay the shipping to them, it was about $35.

I may have to call support again. I bought this brand new, took it out of the box and put power to it and half the buttons did not work or stuck. I literally just got the head unit back from HB where they replaced the buttons, updated the software and mentioned something about condensation. Looks like I might have to send it back again. Thankfully I did not have to pay any shipping though. They sent me a pre paid ups label.

Guessing defective. Especially since you ruled out the motor being in the way and it looks like DI is not right either.

I almost thought cavitation off the prop but if you have the lower unit all the way out, that can’t be it.

Did you check the angle left to right of the transducer by looking at the SI image it looks like the transducer may be high on the port side. As your sensitivity looks off did you try and change settings on the DI image to see if it changed or would change?
