Hey, so I picked up a Helix 7 SI G3N from cabelas ($549 on sale, if anyone is looking). Now I want to use it for ice too. I’m partially b****ing, and partially sincerely curious, do they seriously want $400 for the ice kit, without a battery?? Jeez, I paid that for my FLX-20 with a battery!

Anyways, anybody have any better and more economical options they’d be willing to share?

Build your own shuttle, buy a lithium battery, buy an ice ducer. You can also loop the transducer cord and use a zip tie to get the transducer it came with to hang flat and use that. Look at the helix shuttle thread.

You can’t find the ice packs anywhere all out of stock and the ice transducers also. I’m looking for one for my Helix 7g4n.

Here’s a very low budget video on a fairly cheap way I did mine. I love it three years later too. The Genz Box is the way to go in my opinion.
