I cant seem to find out what version software I have on this.
I just purchased it and loaded new version on SD card followed instructions and it never took it.
I am trying to find it but no luck

Power it up. When you get the prompt that says “press menu key for options” press the menu key then select system status and it will display the current software version you are running among other info.
When you do this don’t look away the prompt for pressing the menu key is only there a few seconds.
