I haven’t seen much on this site and you all had great input on my otter flip over dilemma. Interested in these two units (or a similar suggestion if it’s better). Leaning towards the helix 5 but don’t have previous experience with Humminbird. I have used Garmin a couple of times including my buddies panoptix outfit. Screen and features looked nice on the helix 5 wondering about this set up, or should I stick to Garmin? Thanks

I pulled the Helix 5 off my boat this year and set it up for ice.I have only used it twice and like it so far. It’s user friendly and i’ve got gps now also.
I won’t be getting rid of my vexilar but the Helix is a nice addition.

Also curious why people don’t seem to like discussing these…at least it seems that way. They amount of forum threads and YouTube comparisons of these ice based fish finders are next to none compared to the amount of shanty comparisons.

I’ll be grabbing the striker 4 plus at some point this winter. With how great my 73sv is I’d imagine the striker will be more than functional.
