Sent my friend/family member to the next life to be with her true companion, Ma.
Misty was a schnoodle that was given to mother by my brother and his wife 15 years ago. Misty was raised by Ma and I had a part also along with my dog shady a chocolate lab at first until 3 years later when I had to send shady ahead to the next life. Shady took misty in from the get go. The 2 were quite the pair. Misty was the instigator and she new shady had her back to protect her when she would get herself in a jam. After shady passed the closeness between her I grew even deeper. Wasn’t till 5 years later Almeta came into our lives,
a Large Munster Lander. Just like shady misty took Al (almeta) in from the start. Oh the playin. Then Ma passed 4 years ago and i had the privilege of taking care her till today or was it her taking care me. After ma passed I can not think of a time Misty and Al were apart. Al new something was up this morning so we both laid next to misty me doing all talking letting misty how much we loved her and how important she was to be our family. The time I picked misty up to do what was responsible and put misty in the truck I went back inside expecting Al to want to go with because they always went together for car rides. She just stood there and I believe somehow she understood she was to stay home. After getting home from doing what was best no happy excitement of seeing me I petted her sat on the couch she laid next to me with her head on my lap both silent with the occasional whimper from me and her.

Sorry to hear that mojo. Tuffy just turned 13. The thought is in the back of my mind. I pray to St Francis almost every night that he holds on until I get a boat. Boating is his favorite thing to do. He doesn’t give a rip about fishing though.

    Sorry for your loss…

Dogs come into our life to teach us about love, they depart to teach us about loss. An new dog never replaces and old it merely expands the heart. Whether you have loved one dog or many your heart is big. Author Unknown….

A nice tribute to a dog you really loved. I don’t believe in a lucky dog. I think the humans are the lucky ones to have such great animals in their lives. Sorry for you loss.

We have all gone thtough something similar but how we forget how the small things hit home.
Poor Al, last night in bed she would hear some thing and get perked up than go to the door. I can handle the grief even the ocasional corner of the false siting but another ones grief is tough.
Started thinking after 15 years our companions go through the same loses we do.
