Heater quits!

I have a small RV heater with two bottles and an automatic valve in my house…..it fires up fine the first time….after that I get nothing… tired of freezing my digits!

Any one else having trouble with the cold temps.

Possibly a bad valve? seemed to work fine last year.

    Possible thermocouple?

Make sure you have a clear exhaust. (Check for mouse nest)

    Thanks Joe,

Sounds like an electrode start by the clicking…..never lit anything.

The exhaust was putting out when it was running so it seems clear.

    I’ll dig in today.

Its not due to the extreme cold and the propane tanks freezing is it?

It may have a sail switch that sticks closed a d they are only supposed to be closed when the fan is running. If that switch is closed when the thermostat calls for heat, they don’t do anything

    That was my original question.

I guess after it runs the first time the guts must be freezing up…….
