I have a new Eskimo Sierra thermal flip over. I bought a little buddy mr heater does not cut it for warmth. Will a buddy heater be sufficient enough for this shack or do I need a big buddy? Thanks guys

It depends on the temp you want it in the house. I have both a buddy and a big buddy. I almost always grab the big buddy when fishing out of my lodge. If it’s really cold out it’s nice to heat the house up quick and then turn it down.

I love my big buddy. I have a little buddy and a big buddy, no regular buddy. The little works great for warmer 20+ days in my 2 man and un-insulated 1 man. The big buddy gets busted out once the mercury drops below 20. You will be happy with the big buddy, you can always run it on one plate.

The Big Buddy is the way to go. I have the same shelter and it kept it comfortable for a sweatshirt on Medium when the temps were 15 below and colder this weekend in northern MN

I have an otte4 xt pro lodge. Crank the big buddy to get it warm then u can lose a few layers of clothing and turn it to low and be plenty warm.
I like fishing in a sweatshirt that’s why I went the big buddy route

Big buddy has advantages of built in fan, quick connect valve for large tanks, and more btu. Being able to heat quick and back off is nice.

It is quite a bit bulkier but worth the trade off IMO. I sprung for the cover to keep it nice and hold the hose or extra tanks.

I am a fan of the big buddy!

Either put the two small propane canisters on the thing or do what I do and haul a 20lb tank. I LOVE IT.

Just my opinion but I think regular buddy is more than enough for a flip over. I would want the Big Buddy for a larger hub style but perhaps overkill for a flip over. I was out a couple nights ago at 0 degrees and the regular Buddy was plenty, was able to fish in my sweatshirt. Then again, if you just want to buy one more heater, the Big Buddy would cover all applications.
