Red flag. Yeah definitely go somewhere else. Probably wants your hearing to go bad to sell you more expensive hearing aids…

I have been using pro ears 28bt for a few months now. The lack of touch controls is great, no more hoodie or head net setting changes or calls. I did have some wind noise last Sunday with the 20mph gusts. (They do come with foam covers for wind that I do not use). My only complaint is when I’m using the sound amplify mode, I can’t tell what direction gun shots are coming from. Standard noises are fine (duck calls, conversation, etc) if it’s loud enough to limit the decibels, I can’t tell left from right. Not a big deal I guess, just a weird sensation not knowing direction.

Ended up ordering some from a local company in the north metro named Alclair. They have a office/shop that you can stop in at without an appointment and get the molds done for free. They have a passive plug that has a filter in it similar to the Westone’s. Price was competitive at $157 shipped to my door. I ordered them about two weeks ago so hopefully getting them any day now. They also make an electric style that are much more expensive, but it sounds like they run 30% off sales now and then.
