Leave this weekend for our annual trip to Manitoba to hunt waterfowl with my Dad, brothers and sons. Looks like it going to be cool which is good. Most of the gear is all set and packed up. Very excited to get up there again.

Any reports from the Brandon area?

Good luck!! A bucket list item for me. Last weekend my buddies and I were all having a cold one talking about old hunts we had done together. I said this is a bucket list item for me. One of them brought up duck hunting in South America somewhere. Liberal limits and all kinds of cool ducks. I still want to do Canada.

Awesome! Never been much of a waterfowl hunter myself, but would like to in the future when the kids are old enough to go!

Is duck season in May/June in South America? Would be a cool trip to do for sure!

Bucket list item of mine too. Funny cause I hunt and grew up on the J. Clark Salyer refuge in northern NDak, so Brandon is only 90 miles or so from where I grew up hunting. I imagine the hunting tactics are the same, but would be cool to say I did Canada at least once.

The rumor in NDak when there aren’t many birds around is that they are sitting over the border in Canada. Some people even say the birds roost in J. Clark and feed in Canada due to less pressure.

    Kooty, let’s plan a trip for 2015!
