I’m not sure. But, will this affect your voyage?

Hormel made their first batch of SPAM since 1937.
The company has just announced that due to hoarding
by certain ‘sportsmen’, they are going to make a second batch.

LOL! You guys crack me up…except for Steve Hix…I need to stay on the east side of the river when near Iowa. It was the deer that done me in.

Brian, it doesn’t need state registration numbers because it’s Federally registered as the Ella J. Runs about $100. per year if I recall. Good question though.

I have enough spam alone to have it 2 per day for 14 days.

Curt, it’s not like I can pull up to just any dock. I need a minimum of 5′ of water and a dock that will hold 17,000 pounds tied up to it.

There’s a lot of folks I was love to stop and see sprinkled along the river. I think I need a vehicle for that though.

Brian @beachbrian I admire your intestinal fortitude. While i would love your journey. I’m not sure i would want the responsibility of managing it. I hope your trip is Safe, and enjoyable!! and i’m somewhat jealous.

Wonder where the hamms resupply is happening?

Just about out first town south of La Crosse.

5 locks today. Shower and Hamm’s time…wait! Out of Hamm’s! Guess it will be Moscow mules!!

Pool 5A has to be the most beautiful pool I’ve seen at least so far.

    No fishing so far.

Sounds awesome! Maybe fish a little, down stream at 4-5 mph should work fine.

How many miles you guys doing a day?

About 65 miles per day average. The locks the first day really slowed us down.

It’s ironic, I never took a photo in 5a. Too busy enjoying the views Iguess.

Sounds like the awesome weather will hold until Monday/Tues.

Stopped in at The Muddy Minnow bait shop today. Bullheads, Large suckers and small blue gill all a dollar each.

    Dang cell phone. Wrong photo!!

How long did it take to get back up stream?

Under 5 days. We took it slower and stopped early a couple days because of the wind. I’m pretty sure a person could make it in 4 days if they wanted to.

611 miles over 11 days. (subtacted storm days out of the 14 we were gone).

Wish I had a photo of it but I was rather busy. Came out of L&D #7 sideways. The wind was blowing!

It’s amazing how many marina’s/gas docks didn’t answer their phone or call back. On the other hand, we met the nicest people at the docks and marinas that did answer their phone.

Next trip? Nashville!! (maybe next year lol!)

    The Great Loop!

I’m not fond of salt water and all of it’s corrosion. But I never say never.

The FW took about 5 minutes to remember me…then she said the lawn needs mowing. crazy
