Has anyone tuned into this yet? The series started on the Detroit River today. I find this way more entertaining than the Cabela’s NWT because you actually get to see people fish instead of advertising stuffed down your throat. I don’t think professional walleye fishing will ever be be as popular to watch as bass circuits but it’s nice to have free access to watching very good fishermen go at it in new locations.

I really enjoyed watching last year and they’ve grown a lot in many ways since last season! It’s really fun to watch these live

I watched start to finish today and thought it was fantastic. Well produced, little advertisements and the commentators were excellent. The first day, the cameras were in the first ten boats that signed on to fish the tour. Tommorrow, The ten cameras go with the top 10 from today. it will be interesting to watch it play out. Pitchers pretty well kicked the Iron cross guys, and I especially loved that!

Enjoying watching today. The leaderboard and cut line is constantly changing. Couple trollers holding their own today, but most at the top are pitching jigs.

    Thanks for posting this Tom.

To be 9,10 or 11. Yuck. Truly makes this a game where every ounce counts, errors get magnified and a never say die spirit will someday pay.

    Day 3 top 8 tmrw. Can’t wait.

I’m impressed. Looks like the walleye guys are starting to figure it out. Way more enjoyable and educational to watch than the other formats – by a long ways. Any walleye fisherman can watch these people fish and learn something. Mike Hanson, who just missed the top 10, sat in his boat afterwords and gave a talk about what he was using and how. He showed all his rods, baits, etc., which made his sponsors and viewers happy. What a great way to get walleye fishermen fired up about their sport. I hope this format is successful.

Yes, the coverage is incredible. That last hour of cut day yesterday was intense. I was pulling for Bill Shimota to make the cut and he was on the bubble the whole time. Okada got 2 quality fish in last 30 minutes to jump in top 8.

You hear guys talk about pitching soft plastics, but here you can see exactly what kind of soft plastics they are using and how they work them.

Today the Schertz and Schneider matchup is piling up weight, but Schertz is going to be tough to beat.

Not sure Jon but they go out an hour early and can look around and get set before they start fishing.

I really enjoyed the format. To see the guys fishing walleyes live and providing education to the viewers was fantastic. I’ve never been very interested in the walleye circuits prior to this format. I hope the series continues to grow.

    Winnebago dinkfest!

that was brutal. i like that they made it a walleye circuit but they sure didn’t do it as often as last year. should have made more events IMO

Anybody catch day 1 today from the big pond?? Okada had a steller day before the cameraman hopped in his boat around noon, 71 lbs on artificial for 5hrs of fishing is pretty damn impressive. I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings for him with the cameraman starting in the boat. Sounds like Brett King was in the same area and kinda doing the same thing… I debated on being a marshall for the event but the damn thing called work got in the way again!

Unfortunately the way the tourney is set up okada’s boat might be kind of boring tomorrow because he will be doing more searching than probably fishing. He is basically a lock for the too 8.

Perfect display of targeted fishing. Crazy watching those guys with these not electronics. Like playing a video game. See a fish, cast to the spot, catch the fish. Make a guy dream about upgrading!!!!

They should have started putting at least some cameras in the boats of the guys that have experience on the lake.
Tomorrow will be a tougher bite but at least some fresh faces. And there will be zero chance of dinking these 2 events. If they want this to succeed than they need to hit walleye lakes. I’ve never heard of lake Wisconsin or the lake they will fish in NY.

    Anyone watch Max Wilson today?

Wowzer, rock solid proof of how live imaging can pay in cash. LOL! Bobber & artificial leech.

Max is a riot to watch, and you are right. He should get a commission, he will sell a lot of LIVE units!!!

I would throw that guy into the water if he was in my boat. Grown men that throw temper tantrums like 5 year olds don’t impress me much. Act like you been there.

I don’t think you will have to worry about him being in your boat. It is part of his gimmick/marketing. Can’t remember the last time Mike Iaconelli actually won a tournament, but I guarantee he is one of the most recognizable pro bass fisherman.

Max is actually really good guy.

Walleye fishing could use a little personality.

Those H2H guys really like his spunk. Kind of like watching your buddy break his golf club after slicing a rocket into the trees. I never been a fan of self promotion tho. I am pretty impressed he can get walleyes to hit a fake leech under a float. I can’t even get a crappie to hit a plastic under a float……sigh

Okada is killing it again today. His jigs strokes are almost violent. Can’t wait to see these guys in my stomping grounds on P2 next month. Think I will have to take a day or two PTO!

UNREAL!!! These guys sure are showcasing that the mille lacs walleye population is hurting (insert sarcasm). Okada caught 27 fish today, for 5 hours of fishing he averaged boating an eye every 11 minutes! If he would have stayed hooked up on the ones he lost, that would probably have dropped it to a fish every 8 minutes.

Crazy isn’t it? All on artificials too. All the fish look healthy and well fed. Last weekend when I was out there i caught a dzn in 3 hours. Again all artificials, no need for live bait out there!

Maybe someday it will become a big walleye destination if they let us keep a few fish.
