HDS Gen3, ,side imaging

    I want to add side imaging to my HDS12 Gen3. Finding the right compatible transducer on the Lowrance website, pain in the ass. Anyone have it for their Gen3 units?

    I have the total scan transducer on for my HDS 9 Gen3. Russell Marine Products have great videos on youtube.

    Just to double check, the Total Scan transducer does not do 2d sonar correct?
    How happy are you with the side scan setup?

    It has 2d/chirp/DI/SI/ It is a great product it is not as detailed as the Mega SI bird but does everything I need.

    It does have 2d sonar. What are you comparing side scan with? Bird mega or a previous lowrance version?
