So my problem is when I do my down scan overlay on the sonar it seems to do the whole screen to that color palette. When I shut off the down scan it goes back to the normal color palette. I might not have some settings set right but I was trying this in 3 to 6 feet of water is that to shallow for it to work properly. I do know I have it set for fresh water could that be my problem. I also have it set on auto.

What ever color you have your palette set is what the color will be on the overlay. Guess I’m a little confused what you are trying to get at? If you have your map zoomed way in it could cover the whole screen with downscan overlay.

I’ll have to check the zoom but I don’t recall zooming in.its basically when I have the overlay on it covers the whole screen instead of just the bottom. That why I wasn’t sure if it’s due to the shallow water or settings.

So the overlay doesn’t just follow the cursor of the boat? It makes the whole screen turn color? Check your transparency setting in your map options.
