Purchasing one tonight with total scan. Any tips or input on this unit would be great. Seems like every review I’ve read and watches has been positive. And Scheels is running a really good deal on them right now.

My tip would be to get it on the water! 
Your going to like the Total scan. Sonar,menu,installation, Total Scan. Don’t forget to check HD on structure Scan. Way better return signal and less cables to route. Been using it for over a year.
Your going to love it, so many functions to play with. Read the manual and watch some set=up vids on youtube, it will really help you along with different functions. The gen 3 unit like yours are discontinued and only the carbons are available.I have 2 9’s and really love them.
