    What are you guys storing your Humminbird head units in when they are not in the boat? I figure for the money invested it is well worth taking care of it!

    I bought 2 of the $20 aluminum tool cases from menards for my 1197 and 858 and they work great. Like you said there is alot om money invested in those things and a good case is part of the puzzle.

    i found an old hand gun case..not water proof but keeps my electronics from getting bounced around..it has worked for me for the last 10 years

    What size or model number Pelican Case would fit the 998?

    Bass Pro is supposed to be offering a padded case for the 998’s. Didn’t have them yet the last time I was in.

    I bought some soft sided cases from Cabela’s a couple years ago. The small one fits an 8in screen Lowrance perfectly, the medium fits my 113 and the large fits my HB 1197 with room to spare. Cabela’s Item: IK-016500
