Wanting to use 2 sonars at the same time. Humminbird is telling me that it won’t work and others say it will. For those who are running two, what does your setup consist of and how are things placed?
    Thanks

I run 2 Lowrances. One in front and one back without any problems.

I use two as well, one front and one back. Obviously they both have their own tranducers.

Here’s what I got from Humminbird

    Dear Mr. Stevens,

Thank you for the updated information. We appreciate your support of our products. Please note even though Beam Select is set differently both beams are still being sent out. Therefore, even though one unit may display 83

kHz it will still output the 200 kHz beam and vice versa. This can create cross-talk between the systems creating incorrect readings.

I’m trying to get away from the transducer being on the trolling motor. Is that what you guys are using?

Yep, trolling motor and transom transducers.

I run 4 I guess. I have the Universal Sonar on my Terrova on the Bow. Then the Lowrance Transducer on the driver side transom of the boat, Dash Transducer is Epoxy in the Transom, and then Structure scan on the passenger side, I dont seem to have any issues. Guess it is when and how you use them.

Yep, 2 lowrances and a bird. Can run all three with no problems if need be.

I run two Lowrance. I do occasionally have interference issues, seems to have no ryme or reason as to when. I typically only run one at a time unless I need to use both.

I may be wrong, but the only time I have problems is when the water is deep enough for the cones to cross.

Actually now that you mention it, I would say that is probably my case also. I’ve only noticed it in deep water.

My old set up I ran 3 (LCX 112, LCX 113, LCX 38) all with 1 transducer. It required a broadband sounder box and then an ethernet expansion port. My current set up I run 3 (HDS 10, HDS 10, LCX 38) again, all off 1 transducer (have the option to switch bow to universal on terrova). HDS allows you to enternet between units which gives you sonar on all.
I know this deosn’t help if using Humminbird, but that’s how mine works.
    Good luck!
